Kick Movie Review - Bhushan Mahadani

Kick Movie Review

First thing first… KICK is a outrageously stupid movie. Its an official remake of a Telgu blockbuster movie also called Kick. But along with that its not as bad as the movies which are thrown away towards us by the filmmakers in last couple of months.

Sajid Nadiadwala, a seasoned producer turn debutant director has made a movie, which fits his genre, where everything is excessive, larger than life (except the story). This is the kind of movies he produces and no one should expect anything other than this. Kick is a “BhelPuri” of Hollywood action, Dhoom 3 tadka and even small amount of Jab Tak hai Jan masala. Kick is a utter waste of time of the real movie lovers other than diehard fan of Salman Khan.

Salman Kahn as usual does the action, dialogbazi, song and dance and every now and then enters into his Dabangg mode. He plays Devilal Singh, who is in the search of Kick, kicks some 32 odd jobs for that. On the top of that Salman reminds you which movie you are watching by saying Kick after every 10 minutes. He falls in love with a psychiatric Shania (Jacqueline Fernandez) but  she is unable to control Devilal’s adrenalin hunger and they breakup. Then a Devil evolves within the Devilal who wears a mask like Zorro or whatever and robs rich people and donate it to poor like Robin Hood. Does it find you amusing? Doesn’t matter… Bhai’s isn’t about logic… its about entertainment.

Jacqueline is there as a decoration piece.Chetan Bhagat has written screenplay which is like roads of Mumbai full of pot holes.

But everything isn’t bad about it. Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing Shiv Gajra is a pleasure to watch. Rajat Arora has written cracking dialogs, action sequences are good.

So if you wanna watch Kick (if you are Bhai’s fan then no one can stop you) then keep your mind at home… but still then it won’t be a smooth ride.
