Hello, I’m Bhushan Mahadani. I make a living on the film making and Screenwriting.
I didn’t win the lottery, I don’t drive a fancy car, and I’m not a millionaire. What I do have is a beautiful wife, an amazing daughter, a loving family, awesome friends, and a line of work that allows me to spend most of my time with them.
I am a small filmmaker and started my film making career in 2002 and have experience in every aspect of film making and has a gold medal in Master Diploma In Visual Communications. I started as a humble production assistant/camera attendant for $80 per month and raised to become assistant cameraman, then camera man, director of photography, assistant director, associate director, film director, producer,.. and then started my own business. In these 15 years I have worked with companies like Star TV, MTV, FTV, NDTV, Discovery, SAB TV, Perfect Pictures, Indian Army,… and taught film making at prestigious film schools like Asian Academy Of Films & Television and worked as an associate to Prof.Karl Bardosh, Arts Professor,at NYU-TSOA Kanbar Institute Of Film And Television, New York University. SO WHY THE BHUSHAN MAHADANI BLOG?
With Bhushan Mahadani blog, I want to be as transparent as possible with everything I learn everyday. My businesses and my strategies – it’s all out there for you to see. I’m not trying to show off my success – that’s definitely not my purpose. If you’re already in film making, I hope that my experiences – both my wins and my failures – can help you reach your goals.
If you’re not in film making business but thinking about it, you can see what it’s like, see what’s involved and make decisions on your own without having to pay some film school and be subjected to the possibility of false claims and wasted money. I firmly believe that all of you can do what ever you want only if you take a first step and things start falling into places some how( still a mystery).
And finally, please read this carefully:
I don’t consider myself an film making guru, my techniques are not secrets and the kinds of things I teach are not “film star” schemes – far from it actually.
This is why you won’t see me offer any false claims – not because I don’t want to help, but because honestly most of the information I could give you can be useful to you. If you need some help figuring stuff out, just use my contact form (at the bottom of the page) to send me an email and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
Film making takes a lot of hard work, a lot of patience and a little bit of luck too, although I honestly believe we create our own luck.
I know I have an inspiring story and I am here to inspire you too, however I want to do it the right way. I speak only from my experience and please don’t feel like you owe me anything because of it. This is my way of paying forward the amazing things that have happened to me.
You won’t get any hard sells from me, long sales pages or fluffed up stuff – just real life case studies and recommendations based on my own experience with filmmaking.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope to see you on the platform sometime soon!
